The New Eclectic was founded by Alexandrea Cantrell as an event design business, driven by a love for creating beautiful, meaningful spaces and experiences. After years in the event industry, real estate, and guiding friends through renovations, Alex partnered with her sister, Olivia Shumate, to expand into interior design—blending their shared passions for home, history, and artistry.
With expertise spanning luxury and new construction real estate, graphic design, art therapy, and event and floral design, they bring a thoughtful, multidisciplinary approach to every project. By layering past and present, they craft interiors that feel both storied and forward-thinking—honoring the beauty of what was while embracing the possibilities of what’s to come.
